Job Description for Family Pastor

• Works with church leaders and staff through a team concept of ministry toward fulfilling common goals and objectives.
• Full- time position (40 plus hours)
• Devotes best portion of time and energy to equipping parents and lay people to teach and train youth (teens and children) to be fruitful and productive followers of Jesus.

Oversight of Youth Children’s Christian Education Programs:

• Sunday Children’s Church Church Classes
• Sunday Nurseries
• Wednesday 412 IMPACT Youth Group
• Wednesday FIYAH (3 yr. – 5 th Grade)
• Wednesday Nurseries
• Child- Check in system

Responsibilities:

• Oversee Youth Children’s Directors
• Ministry classes are staffed with teachers and helpers
• Children’s Check-In Station staffed for all Wednesday Sunday services
• Enlist and equip teachers and helpers; provide training opportunities as needed
• Evaluate implement curriculum that aligns with FBC doctrine beliefs
• To assist ,help, and organize many of the sport ministries for the community.
• Leads various TFL classes when needed
• Organize, assist and lead the many activities as needed.
• Assist with assimilation of new families into the church
• Assist the Outreach Pastor in visitation
• Assist the Teaching Pastor in filling the pulpit on Sundays as needed
• Scheduled teacher on our Truth For Living (Wednesday Nights)
• Assist locking up the facilities after functions throughout the week.

Education

• Minimum -Bachelor Degree in Bible or ministry
• 5-10 years in pastoral ministry experience
• Spanish-speaking ability is a plus, but not required.
