How to Identify and Use Your Spiritual Gift

All of us want to be used. We all seek for a sense of being needed, being able to contribute. This desire to contribute is a component of our creation. We were formed by God and immediately given significant abilities and significant responsibilities. This is seen in Genesis chapter one, as God creates humankind and entrusts his created ones with the responsibility of caring for the new world he just made. "God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground.” (Genesis 1:28)

IN ADDITION to our God given desire to contribute, to create, we ALSO have a GOD GIVEN ENABLEMENT to serve one another in the body of Christ. One of the greatest joys in the Christian life is to experience the power of God working through your life in service for another Christian.
