Finding Your Faith in the Word of God
Romans 10:17 "Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ."
ABRAHAM, the Father of faith experienced strength for his faith - Romans 4:20 "Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God,"
Paul prayed that the faith of the Colossians would be strengthened - Colossians 2:7 "rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness."
The answer to both of these questions is that faith is found and strengthened through the Word of God, which always leads us to the person of Christ. We see this connection through the fact that the written Word and the Living Word are bound together.
Where do we go if we are SEEKING a RELATIONSHIP w/ GOD?
Where do we go to FIND our FAITH?
Where do we go when our FAITH is WEAK?
There are times our faith grows weak. Jesus said to Peter, Luke 22:32 "But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers."
Every encounter with the Word of God leads us to Christ.
Every encounter with Christ leads us to obey the Word of God
