The story in 1 Samuel 15 prompts great criticism from atheists who claim that it demonstrates that God cannot exist, because if there is a God, He could not possibly approve of killing an entire race of people. This message focuses on the apologetic issues related to the command to "kill all of the Amalekites." Perhaps a better for this sermon would be “God’s Righteousness and the Slaughter of the Amalekites.”
