Living Christmas Tree Update

Our deepest gratitude is extended for the choir, cast and crew that presented this year's Living Christmas Production of "Christmas Shoes." Our hearts were warmed by the touching story. You presented the gospel clearly through the drama and music.

Even through the weather related cancellations, we saw nearly every seat taken for the three presentations. Some who attended the first presentation returned with their friends on Sunday night. To God be the Glory.

Philippine LCT - Dress Rehearsal

Last night we went through a complete dress rehearsal of the Living Christmas Tree. This performance of“Hark the Herald Angels Sing” is absolutely amazing. We performed this musical several years ago at FBC.

The level of the music and drama ministry is superb. They are doing in their first year, what has taken us years to develop and improve. There are 60 choir members, singing angels, authentic Roman Centurions, the Christmas scene complete with a donkey and goats, shepherds, townspeople, and banners. It is truly spectacular, and the choir sounds excellent.

UN Rights of the Child will Tell Parents What to Do

In 1989, the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child was passed.  Currently, the US is one of the few nations that has not ratified this legislation.  That could soon change if the Senate ratifies this as a treaty.

Once ratified, this ruling would have direct impact on how parents raise their children.  Christian values, even taking children to church could be endangered.

The following interview provides a clear and frightening explanation.

Summer Reading

When I told my son David that I had 11 books on my summer reading list, he said "Dad, it's already the middle of June.  When are you going to read all those books?"  As usual, my goals are higher than what I will most likely accomplish.  Realistically, I think that I will be able to get through the first half of my list by Labor Day.

Israel's Future Repentance and Salvation

At the end of the 70th week of Daniel (commonly referred to as "The Tribulation"), the remnant of Israel will repent of their sins and turn to Jesus Christ.  He will come from heaven to rescue this remnant from the armies of the world who have gathered to destroy Israel.  Here's the link to this sermon. faithbible.org/sermons/past-present-and-future-significance-israel-plan-god-part-3

Is "Ida" the Missing Link in Evolutionary Theory?

Have you heard about "Ida?" Just in time for Darwin's 200th birthday, the supposed "missing link" of evolution has been found! It's a fossil that scientists say PROVES the theory of evolution.

After 200 years of searching, scientists are hailing the discover of an intact fossil sure evidence that humans evolved from primates. If you think this seems just a little desperate, you're right.

If evolution occurred the way it is presented, then there would be millions of transitional forms. It would not have taken 200 years to find them, either.

Decoding DaVinci

The symbol for conflict in one Chinese dialect is a combination of the symbols for danger and opportunity. There is within every conflict the possibility for trouble or progress. Such is the potential faced by Christians today in regard to the popularity of Dan Browns book and movie, “The DaVinci Code.”
